The CHIEKH Pants are a powerful tribute to tradition, craftsmanship, and leadership, named in honor of one of our lead tailors from the Wolof community, where “Chiekh” signifies “leader.” Crafted from vintage Aso Oke fabric sourced from various regions across Southwestern Nigeria, these pants celebrate a rich tapestry of cultural heritage. The design seamlessly combines the textured beauty of Aso Oke with batik elements, drawing inspiration from the traditional Yoruba kembe pants and their wide-legged, relaxed fit.

Echoing the structured folds of Yoruba caps, the distinctive folds at the hem symbolize wisdom and the journey of walking in knowledge.
